Sometimes when you are working in a group or in a company you have share the designs and some components you have made on your Proteus but the problem comes when the person you are sending the file to doesn't´t have the component on the computer.

For that reason today I´ll be showing you how to add components and libraries to Proteus.
It is a simple thing to do as you can see in the next video.
Steps to follow:
1.- Locate the files you want to copy (Libraries).
2.- Copy them the way you want (I find it easier with Ctrl + C).
3.- Look on your computer for:
C:ProgramDataLabcenterElectronicsProteus 8 ProfessionalLIBRARY
4.- Copy the files to that folder.
5.- Check if all the components and library are in Proteus. (to check that out you have to open Proteus and go to Library on the menu bar, then Library Manager where a window will show up and you can look for the libraries you just added).
Proteus is simulation and PCB designing software. Many times we need to simulate different circuits before we actually develop it, This tutorial shows how to add library in Proteus 7 and Proteus 8.
Following are the simple steps to add Library in Proteus
Step 1: Download Proteus library zip file example ARDUINO Proteus library
Step 2: Unzip library folder. You will see two files names as *.IDX and *.LIB in some cases third file is *.HEX.
In our example it is ARDUINO.IDX and ARDUINO.LIB
Step 3: Copy and paste these files in LIBRARY folder of Proteus
If you are using Proteus 7 Professional, then the library folder link will be something like this: “C:Program Files (x86)Labcenter ElectronicsProteus 7 ProfessionalLIBRARY“
If you are using Proteus 8 Professional, then the library folder link will be something like this: “C:Program FilesLabcenter ElectronicsProteus 8 ProfessionalDataLIBRARY”

Step 4: Close Proteus Software and reopen it to check it. That’s all.
